Enter the Era of Elegance
"I went to New York for the first time in August 1992. I was there thanks to my friend Ramón Reverté. We were on our way from Barcelona to Mexico, to work on a publishing project on the architect Luis Barragán. When we landed in the city of Holly Golightly we saw to our amazement that the whole city was covered in posters announcing the re-launch of the mythic Harpers Bazaar.
I will always remember that sensation of New York warmth as something bound up with the start of everything important that has happened in my life. Not only was I able to enjoy a new Bazaar, co-piloted by Liz Tilberis and Fabien Baron, but I was also seeing Linda Evangelista’s face on the sides of the buses, inviting us to cross a new threshold: "Enter the Era of Elegance", so we did."
